IgG antibody plays a crucial role in humoral immune responses such as phagocytosis, complement activation, placental transport and cell surface-receptor binding. Anti-human IgG (Fc specific), F(ab’)₂ fragment antibody can be used as a capture antibody in antibody-binding assay for soluble ICAM-1-Fc. Goat anti-human-IgG (Fc specific) F(ab’)₂ antibody reacts specifically with human IgG but does not react with other immunoglobulins.
