Two sizes of aluminum capsules are available. The smaller, with a volume of 4 mL, can hold sample weights up to 2.5 mg. The larger, with a 30 mL volume, accommodates samples up to 20 mg. Sealing of the larger capsule should be carried out in the presence of helium or argon to prevent entrapment of air.
