The Brownlee Aquapore® AX-300 column is built on large pore silica for improved retention and resolution compared to traditional silica. This column is a weak anion exchanger composed of a crosslinked polyethyleneimine phase bonded on the silica surface. Conventional Brownlee columns (non-cartridge) use standard compression end fittings compatible with all HPLC instrumentation and only requires a holder when used with a NewGuard cartridge. To couple a conventional column to a NewGuard cartridge, a NewGuard holder (07150001) is necessary.
