The Brownlee Spheri-5® conventional column has a small-pore, silica-based sorbent, optimized for separating small molecules. This conventional Brownlee column (non-cartridge) uses standard compression end fittings compatible with all HPLC instrumentation and only requires a holder when used with a NewGuard cartridge. To couple a conventional column to a NewGuard cartridge, a NewGuard holder (07150001) is necessary.
