Evolved Gas Analysis (EGA) Hyphenation enables in-depth characterization of evolved gases. The PerkinElmer TL interface series hyphenates (or couples) a Thermogravimetric (TG) instrument with two or more additional analytical instruments. EGA uncovers results and insights not possible with the individual instruments alone. PerkinElmer’s Thermogravimetric instruments can be coupled with Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR), Mass Spectrometry (MS) and/or Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) spectrometers, resulting in a deeper understanding of how a material degrades or what gases evolve when the material decomposes.
