Perkin Elmer, N8125050, Improved SimulScan Dual-Stage Detector

The Dual-Stage Detector is designed for better stability and longer lifetime than its predecessor. ELAN instruments produced after April, 2005 have the proper electronics to accept this detector without modification. ELAN instruments manufactured before April, 2005 will require a onetime upgrade to the detector electronics (Part No. W1013195). Using this detector in an instrument without the upgraded electronics will result in higher noise levels and shorter lifetime.
