These isoforms, PDGF-AA, PDGF-AB, PDGF-BB, PDGF-CC and PDGF-DD, act via two receptor tyrosine kinases, PDGF receptors alpha and beta. PDGF isoforms stimulate growth, survival and motility of mesenchymal cells and certain other cell type.
