Overview
The XL-R VaporGuard charcoal filters, also known as scavenging filters, attach to the output of the RAS-4 anesthesia system (sold separately) to capture isoflurane. This activated charcoal adsorption filled filter is capable of trapping 100g of isoflurane anesthesia gas. These filters absorb trace amounts of volatile isoflurane gas preventing its release into the environment and potential harm to researchers.
The RAS-4 anesthesia system is used along with the induction chamber (sold separately) to safely administer anesthesia prior to and during vivo imaging studies. Product Compatibility-RAS-4 Rodent Anesthesia System
