Product Description
Overview
This biotin-11 labeled analog of cytidine triphosphate (CTP) is a specialized nucleotide designed for incorporation into RNA molecules during in vitro transcription using various RNA polymerases. By integrating this modified nucleotide into RNA strands, researchers can generate biotin-labeled RNA probes that are highly useful in a wide range of molecular biology techniques. These include in situ hybridization, gene expression microarrays, and other nucleic acid detection assays. Detection of biotin-labeled products is typically achieved through the use of streptavidin conjugates, which bind with high affinity to biotin.
The “11” in the compound’s name signifies the length of the carbon linker arm that connects the biotin moiety to the cytidine base, providing spatial flexibility and reducing steric hindrance during probe-target interactions. Concentration-10 mM
