The BioPAT® Trace Installation Kit for Steel Bypass Module is an accessory and belongs to the equipment of the Bypass Modules. The Installation Kit for Steel Bypass Module is part of the BioPAT® Trace and Multi Trace system. It is an installation kit for starting up the stainless steel bypass module.The Installation Kit is absolutly required for functionality and can be used in Biostat RM®. It is only to be used for customers who already have purchased the first generation of the steel bypass module.

The bypass module is an alternative to the dialysis probe.It is frequently used for perfusion cultures and in other cases where in-situ sampling with the dialysis probe is not possible.
The bypass module in its entirety is made of stainless steel and ensures a high level of sterility by the use of an extremely robust membrane. It is installed as a part of the perfusion tubing manifold outside of the bioreactor. The use of the bypass modules as a dialysis sampling system ensures analysis at constant volumes. The dialysis membrane is pre-prepared with appropriate sealing, can easily be installed in the bypass module and should be replaced after every cultivation.
