Light output generated by the luciferase reaction can be correlated to the amount ofGaussialuciferase protein produced and used to determine the activity of the promoter drivingGaussiaexpression. The signal produced byGaussialuciferase shows strong flash kinetics and is considerably greater than flash signals from either firefly orRenillaluciferases assayed under similar conditions. The assay kit is optimized for use with ourGaussiaLuc Vectors but is fully compatible with otherGaussialuciferases and derivatives that use coelenterazine as a substrate.
