Spin Columns and Tubes The Ambion® Spin Columns are for the rapid elution of DNA from agarose gel slices. No electroelution is needed; the columns only require a microcentrifuge. The columns are certified DNase- and RNase-free. 100 units are provided. Simply excise the band of interest from the gel, place it in the spin column, and centrifuge for 5 min! The DNA is forced through the column into the tube below while the agarose is left behind. The DNA is then ready for subsequent manipulations such as restriction enzyme digestion or ligation.
