Product Description

XBridge BEH Shield RP18 columns complement the XBridge BEH C18 and C8 phases and provide a necessary and powerful tool for HPLC method development. The embedded carbamate group in the bonded phase ligand provides alternate selectivity, especially for phenolic compounds compared to straight chain alkyl columns. Packed in ultra-low dispersion hardware, 2.5 µm eXtended Performance [XP] columns enable exceptional separation performance, robustness and throughput for HPLC assays while enabling a seamless transition path toward UPLC adoption.

Additional Information
XBridge BEH Shield RP18 Column, 130Å, 2.5 µm, 3 mm X 100 mm, 1/pk The XBridge BEH Shield RP18 Column offers better bases and less silanol interactions with basic analytes as a result of the Shield Technology included within it. This technique produces a shielding effect in the sample, which helps to produce highly symmetrical, improved peak morphologies, and efficient peaks by decreasing interactions with basic analytes. A weak cation exchange with residual surface silanols and additional interactions with basic chemicals result in the poor peak symmetry of other typical C18 columns. The VanGuard Cartridges and XBridge BEH Shield RP18 XP Columns were developed to complement existing XBridge products, such as the XBridge BEH C18 and C8 phase, and to offer the resources necessary for the creation of HPLC techniques. The XBridge BEH Shield RP18 XP Column was built with Extended Performance (XP) ultra-low dispersion hardware, which enables it to give outstanding separation performance, resilience, and throughput for HPLC tests while providing a seamless transition path toward UPLC adoption. In contrast to straight chain alkyl columns, the bonded phase ligand's inserted carbamate group offers alternate selectivity, particularly for phenolic chemicals. By choosing our tools, software, chemistries, and services, you have all the resources you require to complete any analysis successfully. For consistent, optimal performance of your Waters systems, only Waters Quality Parts have been evaluated and certified, making them compatible with your Waters instruments to the fullest extent. You can depend on reliable instrument performance, precise and repeatable results, and ongoing system compliance when you use Waters Quality Parts. You may easily shop for lab equipment that meets your needs by looking through our brochure or visiting our website to explore the comprehensive selection of all XBridge Columns offered by Waters. The XBridge BEH Shield RP18 VanGuard Cartridge, 130Å, 3.5 µm, 3.9 mm X 5 mm, 3/pk may also be something you want to look into. These cartridges are intended to improve the performance and lifespan of analytical columns by eliminating particulates from the mobile phase stream. All 4.6 mm I.D. XBridge BEH Shield RP18 analytical columns with 3.5 m sorbent particles are protected by this cartridge.

FAQ
Why Is It So Hard To Reproduce Normal Phase Chromatography Retention Times? Due to the substantial dependence of retention on the concentration of highly polar mobile phase constituents, notably water, normal phase HPLC exhibits variability in retention time. Small amounts always dissolve without the need for water, even in strongly apolar solvents. Additionally, water is absorbed on the surface due to the unique hygroscopicity of bare silica. As a result, the water content is rarely controlled and may vary greatly in a regular phase system.
