Additional Information
ACQUITY UPLC Protein BEH SEC Column, 450Å, 2.5 µm, 4.6 mm X 300 mm, 100K - 1M, 1/pk The ACQUITY UPLC Protein BEH SEC Column uses the highly successful BEH particle technology and is fully optimized for the analysis of proteins and their aggregates with molecular weights ranging from 100,000 to 1,500,000 Daltons. Including the ACQUITY UPLC Protein BEH SEC Column, the total system solution will routinely deliver fast, accurate aggregate determinations of proteins up to 10 times quicker than traditional HPLC-based SEC methods. The patent-pending ACQUITY UPLC Protein BEH SEC Column set a new industry standard for protein analysis by being the first commercially available in the sub 2µm SEC chemistry. Using the ACQUITY UPLC Protein BEH SEC Column, you can deliver exceptional improvements in resolution, throughput, and sensitivity for assays. The lab equipment makes it possible for you to easily monitor the presence of protein aggregates through size-exclusion chromatography (SEC). As the presence of these proteins can compromise the safety and efficacy of biologic-based therapeutics, the ability to monitor the protein aggregates increases the efficacy of analysis. The ACQUITY UPLC Protein BEH SEC Column is ideally suited to work in conjunction with the ACQUITY UPLC System as its packing materials were designed specifically for this purpose. Additionally, the column is manufactured to the highest standards in a cGMP, ISO 9001 certified plant using ultra-pure reagents. To ensure that it continues to deliver outstanding performance, each batch of the packing material is tested chromatographically with acidic, basic, and neutral analytes. The results from these tests are held to narrow specification ranges to assure excellent, reproducible performance. Further, every ACQUITY UPLC Protein BEH SEC Column is individually tested, and a Performance Chromatogram and Certificate of Batch Analysis are provided on the eCord Intelligent Chip so you can rely on the quality of your lab equipment and can be certain that you will get consistent results. FAQ
How Is A Specific Protein Separated? In order to separate the protein from the cells where it is present, it is necessary to isolate the cells by centrifugation. In particular, centrifugation using media with different densities may be useful to isolate proteins expressed in specific cells.
