Additional Information
Atlantis Silica dC18 VanGuard Cartridge, 100Å, 5 µm, 2.1 mm X 5 mm, 3/pk By eliminating particle contamination from the mobile phase stream, Atlantis dC18 VanGuard Cartridges help to increase the lifespan and performance of analytical columns. All Atlantis dC18 analytical columns with 2.1 mm and 3.0 mm I.D. and 5 m sorbent particles are protected by this cartridge. The Atlantis dC18 column is a universal C18 analytical column that functions with both LC and MS. In contrast to traditional reversed-phase HPLC columns, it has been designed to achieve an excellent balance of retention for polar and nonpolar molecules while showing a restricted retention of hydrophobic compounds. The Atlantis dC18 Column is compatible with water mobile phases and has better pH stability. This equipment's carefully developed packing material, which facilitates retention and separation of polar, water-soluble chemicals, makes the silica-based, di-functionally bonded C18 material an ideal piece of lab equipment for reversed-phase HPLC. Atlantis dC18 columns, which are universal, silica-based, reversed-phase C18 columns, are used to achieve polar compound retention. The Atlantis dC18 columns include di-functionally bound C18 ligands that have been specifically created for use with very watery mobile phases, such as 100 percent water. By combining the best stationary phase characteristics, including end-capping, silica pore size, ligand type, and bonded phase ligand density, the Atlantis dC18 Column can produce improved peak form, low pH stability, improved polar compound retention, and resistance to hydrophobic collapse (dewetting). The Atlantis dC18 Column, one of the best reversed-phase HPLC columns, may be used for both typical reversed-phase applications and polar compound separation. The Atlantis dC18 column's di-functional silane bonding chemistry provides good stability in acidic mobile conditions, a longer column life, and low pH stability. FAQ
How is Filtration Conducted? Draw around 1 mL of air into the syringe before inserting a sample. This will allow the sample and air to exit the syringe. This "air purge" lowers the fluid retention of the filter device. The filtered liquid needs to be put into the syringe at this point. Holding the filter device in one hand, twist the loaded syringe onto the filter device without exerting too much force. By using light pressure, the filtration process can begin.
