Product Description

Waters IonHance Difluoroacetic Acid is an MS-grade mobile-phase additive that can be used for LC and LC-MS techniques, such as reversed-phase separations of proteins, peptides, and small molecules. This reagent has been purified to achieve the low metal (sodium and potassium) content that is necessary for MS compatibility. Each vial of the standard is provided in an approximately 1 mL quantity and is contained within a high quality, chemically resistant PFA vial.

FAQ
How Is The Peak Tailing Factor Found? The peak tailing factor can be calculated by drawing a perpendicular line from the peak center to the baseline of the peak. Then the peak width and the front half-width are measured for the peak at 5% of the height of the peak. The tailing factor is simply the entire peak width divided by twice the front half-width. Why Do We Get Negative Peaks In HPLC? Differences in refractive index between the sample solvent, sample, and mobile phase most often cause negative peaks. They are also caused after routine maintenance when the system has not been reconfigured correctly.
