This Spherisorb ODS2 column also features a 5 um particle size and a surface area of 220. Each order will contain one column with an inner diameter of 4.6 mm and a length of 150 mm. If you notice any of the following, contamination may be present in your column: changes in peak shape, peak splitting, shoulders on the peak, shifts in retention, change in resolution, or increasing backpressure. The first recommended course of action is to change the guard column being used. If this does not help, begin by flushing with a neat organic solvent.
If flushing is not sufficient, purge the column with a cleaning routine that matches the properties of the sample and/or what you believe may be causing the contamination.
