Product Description

Sep-Pak Amino Propyl (NH2) Plus Light cartridges contain a moderately polar, silica-based bonded phase with weakly basic surface. The sorbent can be used as a polar sorbent with different selectivity for acidic/basic analytes or as a weak anion exchanges in aqueous medium below pH 8. Applications include extraction of phenols and phenolic pigments, petroleum fractionation, saccharides and drugs and metabolites. These cartridges have a distinctive finned outer body and a reduced internal diameter, which results in an interstitial volume about one-third that of the corresponding Plus-style cartridge. This design allows you to elute fractions in a minimal volume to improve recoveries and reduce solvent consumption, a benefit especially for applications where samples are limited or where excessive dilution is a concern.

Additional Information
Sep-Pak Aminopropyl (NH2) Plus Light Cartridge, 130 mg Sorbent per Cartridge, 55 - 105 µm, 50/pk The Sep-Pak Amino Propyl (NH2) Plus Lite cartridges have a silica-based bonded phase that is moderately polar and has a weakly basic surface. The sorbent can be employed as a weak anion exchange in aqueous media below pH 8 or as a polar sorbent with varying selectivity for acidic/basic analytes. Uses include phenol and phenolic pigment extraction, petroleum fractionation, saccharide extraction, and drug and metabolite extraction. These cartridges produce an interstitial volume that is around one-third that of the corresponding Plus-style cartridge thanks to their characteristic finned outer body and smaller interior diameter. Its design makes it possible to elute fractions in a tiny amount of solvent, improving recoveries and conserving solvent—especially useful for situations where the number of samples is constrained or when excessive dilution is a concern. The Sep-Pak Amino Propyl (NH2) Plus Lite cartridges are designed carefully to ensure you receive the product properly sealed within a non-contaminating poly-foil pouch; this ensures there are no contaminants inside and maintains product integrity and packing inactivity. Waters designs and manufactures the packing used in the production of Sep-Pak Amino Propyl (NH2) Plus Lite cartridges specifically for sample preparations and ensures it is of the best market standards. The packing offers optimal particle size distribution, pore size, and surface area, and the packing is clean, dry, and reproducible in capacity to ensure uniform results every time. This standard offers a thorough reference for use with LC/MS or MS apparatus under a wide range of circumstances and using various techniques.

FAQ
How Can I Proceed If My Chromatography Seems to Have Changed? The two most frequent reasons for chromatography to change are when anything is trapped in the column and needs to be washed out or when your column is degrading because of your solution. By carefully monitoring and modifying the solution pH and pressure with a silica column in the system, you may help prevent degradation. We suggest washing with solvents that have the same polarity as the column to get rid of bound organics. Please remember that the majority of pollutants from the ion-exchange columns would be removed by a high-concentration salt washout.
