The non-bonded, silica-based material of Porasil Columns was created to provide normal-phase separations for a variety of sample types, in contrast to the reversed-phase separation capability of Bondapak C18. Waters Porasil 15 - 20µm silica packing material provides long column life and low back pressure. The packing also has a high surface area, making it ideal for preparative work. The Porasil Silica Column is not the only lab equipment available in the brand. They are examined using mass spectrometers, and a certificate of analysis displaying the reference and vial scan for the production batch is supplied with them.
