Additional Information
PIC Reagent B6 Waters provides a convenient solution for analyzing samples containing ionic species in the Paired -Ion Chromatography (PIC®) Reagents. This is done while eliminating problems of precise pH and temperature control, reproducibility, and short column life associated with ion exchange. You can use these reagents to separate ionic compounds by reverse-phase chromatography, saving time by allowing simultaneous assay of acids, bases, amphoteric and neutral compounds. The product listed here is the PIC Reagent B6, which is a 5 vials/pkg workable solution in UV range in mobile phase of 240+ nm. Use the PIC Reagent B6 for rapid separation of bases. It helps to easily separate Quaternary amines, a class of compounds that is usually separated by ion-exchange chromatography. Like all reagents that are offered by Waters, the PIC Reagent B6 has been purified and quality controlled by liquid chromatography to guarantee consistent results. It has been preformulated for ease of use and is buffered to an appropriate pH for most acidic and basic compounds. By using the PIC Reagent B6, you can analyze ionic compounds in UV range in a mobile phase of 240+ nm. as it has been specially formulated to eliminate background interference in the low UV range. The formulation of the PIC Reagent B6 provides methods development opportunities for ion pairs that do not have a chromophore in the working range of regular PIC reagents. It also offers an increased sensitivity potential for compounds ordinarily used with existing PIC reagents. In addition to this, by employing the PIC Reagent B6, you get the potential for selectivity changes due to new buffers as compared to regular PIC reagents. The PIC Reagent B6 can easily work on paired-ion chromatography, which is a technique for performing ion-exchange separations on a reversed-phase column. This is done by adding hydrophobic paired-ion reagents to the mobile phase that are adsorbed onto the stationary phase, where they enhance the interaction of oppositely charged sample components with the stationary phase. The use of the PIC Reagent B6 provides multiple benefits, including increasing the retention of oppositely charged solutes, decreasing the retention of equally charged solutes, and not affecting the retention of uncharged solutes.
